After falling to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday, the Boston Bruins were able to bounce back with a victory over their East division foes Tuesday night.
David Pastrnak gave the B’s the early 1-0 lead, but Penguins winger Brandon Tanev would tie it up later in the first period. In the second, Tanev knocked Bruins defenseman Jarred Tinordi out of the game with a scary hit into the boards. Tinordi was ruled out with an upper-body injury.
Trent Frederic was able to put one past Pens goaltender Casey DeSmith in the third to give Boston the 2-1 victory.
